Today in class we used the photocopier to create abstract compositions having to do with recreational biking. We used a variety of materials, laid them on the scanning bed, and played with the capabilities of the copier: printing in single colors, full color, black and white, and using the zoom function.
It was an exercise in "happy accidents"– creating without much of a plan, and "rolling with" unexpected outcomes to make new compositions.
